Op amps and comparators both have differential inputs, rail-to-rail output, low-offset and high gain. Though op amps are much cheaper, they may also pose some difficulties when it comes to speed, logic drive and input structure. Which one will you use?

I don’t think op amps are as good as comparators. Op amps’ recovery time from overdrive is very slow, while comparators work at high speed even when over-driven. Op amps can be problematic to use.. I prefer comparators even if they are more expensive.
